Happy New Year, Lisa Hoel here! I hope it's going well for you so far. We've been having some pretty wild weather here on the home front. I'm thankful for our warm house and a car with 4WD. Besides wintry weather, January is also my husband's birthday month and I used AJVD dies and stamps
to make him a festive card:
For the background, I used an easy watercolor stamping technique. I first dabbed the stamp with various colors of Distress Inks (using the Mini pad versions makes it easier). I then lightly spritzed the inked stamp with water and then stamped it onto a piece of Distress Watercolor Paper. You get a very nice watercolor look this way! It works especially well with stamps that have lots of solid area like the Sunburst Swirl background stamp.
The little shaker balloons are always a treat to make and sequins are the perfect filler. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to create some art today!
