I woke up to a dusting of snow yesterday. It was the perfect day to stay indoors and stamp. I was inspired by the pine tree along the side of my house and tried to capture its beauty with this card. Kecia Waters on the blog today.
Using a circle cut from watercolor paper with the "Circle Backdrop Die Set", I sponged some Distress Ink Tumbled Glass onto half of the circle. Using my MISTI to do some multiple stamping, I inked the pine branches from the stamp set "Pine Branches" with a bright green dye ink and stamped. I then inked that same pine branch with a dark green Tombow marker and a brown Tombow marker.
I stamped the pine cone image, also from "Pine Branches" with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I then used some brown Prismacolor pencils to color the pine cone. I took my paint brush and tapped some Copic White onto the branches and cone to appear like snow.
I scored around a square panel of the watercolor paper. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set "Christmas Lantern" with Versafine Onyx Black.
