Poinsettia Birthday Card

Hello everyone, Lisa Hoel here with another guest post! On Monday my grandmother turns 95 (!!!) and I wanted to create a card for her that had a hint of Christmas but wasn't a "Christmas card". I thought that the Poinsettia Die Set would work perfectly! I think she will love it. =)

I raided my patterned paper stash to find some feminine pink and tan papers to use as the card base. I then misted lightweight watercolor paper with Tattered Rose, Picked Raspberry and Brushed Pewter Distress Stains to create the paper I cut the blossoms out of. The stains give it a pretty and delicate watercolor effect. The leaves are just flower parts I cut apart and the Brushed Pewter imparts a shimmery look.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend. I'm looking forward to a special birthday celebration with the whole family on Sunday. ;-)
