star light... star bright...

Hello friends!!!  Rosemary here with a sweet little Christmas card I made using the beautiful AJVD stamp set Christmas Star.  This set is full of lovely sentiment that are obviously perfect for Christmas, but there are also some that would work well for a birthday or other occasions.
Prior to making today's card I had been making a card for a couple of challenges and I had been working with gold glitter cardstock.  The perfect stamp set to pair up with the glitter cardstock was the Christmas Star set.  With that in mind I looked through my stash of Christmas 6x6 pads and settled on some papers from the Teresa Collins Tinsel & Company.  I pulled out two papers with a gold/white color theme to use with my little gold star that I die using the small star from the Stitched Dot Star set.   As I worked out how the star would fit into the design I decided to die cut the star patterned paper with a Polka Dot Circle Backdrop die and then die cut the center with the star.  A strip of the striped patterned paper was cut and adhered to a white cardstock panel.  I then die cut the whole thing with the Stitched Dot rectangle dies. I adhered the circle and then adhered the star into the center using foam dimensionals.  Finished with the sentiment stamped in black ink and a sprinkling of AJVD pure gold sequins.  A nice simple design and one that could be easily mass produced.
