Each morning on my way to work, I get to drive by the most beautiful tree. Right now, it is filled with gorgeous orange leaves that shine in the morning sun. It is breathtaking and I know there are only a few more days left to enjoy it. This card is an attempt to capture that beautiful color. Kecia Waters on the blog today.
To make this card, I did a watercolor wash of yellow and orange onto a piece of watercolor paper. Once dry, I used the maple leaf die from the AJVD's "Leaves & Petals Die Set" to cut many leaves. I did a little sponging of Distress Ink Wild Honey onto the leaves and arranged onto a white square cardfront that I had scored. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and is from the AJVD's stamp set "Autumn Blessings".
AJVD Supplies:
Leaves & Petals Die Set
Other Supplies:
watercolor paper, Kuretake watercolors, Distress Ink, sponges, Scor-It, Versafine Onyx Black
Take time to enjoy what is left of fall. My tree will be barren soon.
Smiles,
Kecia Waters
