August 1st. Already. What has happened to our summer? It is just flying by and I really need to squeeze in a few more flower cards before the cold, gloomy winter weather returns. Kecia Waters on the blog today.
I am just not ready to put away the AJVD stamp set "Simply Said: Happy Daisy". For this card, I put two strips of painter's tape onto a card panel of X-Press It cardstock to create an area from which to work for my field of daisies. Working from left to right, I then stamped the daisy image from "Simply Said: Happy Daisy" five times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, creating a mask for each daisy with masking film. Then, I sponged the following Distress Inks onto the card: Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. Afterwards, I carefully removed the masks and the painter's tape. I colored the daisies with Copic markers, and added a bit of shimmer with a clear Wink of Stella pen.
I stamped the sentiment, also from "Simply Said: Happy Daisy", along the bottom of the card panel with Versafine Onyx Black.
