Christmas in July continues with this card, featuring the Santa Claus Die Set by A Jillian Vance Design along other cute dies and stamps by Jillian.
So as I was closing the store on Thursday, I got an idea! Santa needed a Portrait!
So I grabbed the Vintage Frame Die Set and the Santa Claus die and went to work on this card! I am very please as to how it turned out. Kind of whimsical and oh so cute!
The Santa Claus Die Set is designed to make a solid face or you can use the inner die to cut a section to create a shaker card! Either way it looks darling on your Christmas cards, tags and projects! AND his moustache POPS out!!!
Rather than color him and use smooth cardstock, I grabbed my Ranger Watercolor Paper ~ my favorite kind so he would have some texture and I could watercolor his skin, nose cheeks and give his beard some curls! I love how he turned out!
Added the holly and berry from our Sam E. Snowman Die Set for the perfect embellishment for his hat! Then to give that background some texture, the Scattered Snow Background Builder using Picket Fence...if you notice I use that A LOT!
And there you have a cute but easy peasy Santa Claus card!
Other products used:
Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger
Distress Ink by Ranger in Picked Raspberry, Tea Rose and Black Soot for Santa, Picket Fence for the Scattered Snow background.
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Dot Runner and 3D Foam Mini Squares
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!
