Hello A Jillian Vance Design fans!! Rosemary here today with a Mother's Day card that I made using the new Beautiful Rose stamp and die set. Both rose images in the set are just gorgeous and so fun to watercolor!!
I started my card by stamping my image on watercolor cardstock using VersaMark watermark ink. I then applied gold embossing powder and heat set the image. Working just a few petals at a time I applied some clean, clear water to the image. I then added some clean water to my craft mat and added color from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi water color set. Using a small round brush I colored in the rose adding color where I needed it to get the right shading. The same process was done with the leaves. Once the image was dry I die cut it with the main rose die cut. Some additional watercolor paper was colored with the same green that I used for the leaves and then die cut with the Swirly Vines die. A panel of white cardstock was die cut with a Polka Dot Rectangle backdrop die. Before stamping the sentiment I cut up the Swirly Vine die cut and arranged everything on the panel. In order to get the sentiment nicely spaced I used my mini MISTI stamping tool. This amazing little tool allows you to do a perfect second stamping if your sentiment or image doesn't come out super crisp the first time around. Once the sentiement was stamped I adhered the rose and the pieces of the vine. I absolutely love how this card turned out!! Since this card is rather clean and simple I'm going to add it to the current Creative with Stamps challenge of CAS.
