Hi, Lisa Lara here as Guest Designer collaborating with my Mom, Sandie Pugh.
My Mom, Sandie sewed these beautiful SweetPea Pods using
Here is my Mom's review she wrote up from a sewer's perspective.
The pattern arrived in 3 days in “Happy Mail” and I’m not
kidding, the red envelope and Happy Mail label made me feel good! The pattern is colorful on nice slick paper with lots of
photo instructions. I love Lazy Girl
patterns for this reason, easy to follow. The zipper method looked a bit intimidating until I tried it
and was amazed how darn easy it is! I found a colorful package of 10” squares in my stash from
Keepsake Quilting that I had bought on sale and used two of these for my
outside and lining fabrics. I already
had some Dreamy fusible from lazy Girl.
The zipper goes in like magic and so quick. The sewing is straight forward and fast. The pictures with the pattern are wonderful
for your first bag. Mine is done and I have another one cut out and am going to
go look for another zipper tab to make my second one. It will go much faster than the first which
took less than an hour with all my careful reading of the pattern. I plan to make 16 of these for the Christmas exchange at my
charity sewing group! And then I will be
done when the holidays arrive! Maybe one
extra for my lovely daughter, Lisa! LOL!
I am sharing below ideas for gift/uses for these sweeties.
I made tags using
the charm die from 1 Large {DIE}signs Grab bag of dies, Black Pear Pins, Antique Brass Pear Pins and Silver Pear Pins.
I stamped the heart from Cross Stitch Love.
This one I filled with manicure/pedicure items for a Mother's Day Gift.
I stamped the sentiment using Showers Of Blessings.
This one I put ear phones in perfect gift for a teenager.
I stamped this fun birthday image using Happy Birthday.
This one is perfect for sewing supplies.
I stamped this fun sentiment using Sew Special.

These are just fantastic!!!
Congratulations for Sandie! I just LOVE these adorable SweetPea Pods, and what beautiful fabrics and zippers! I can think of so many ways to use small pieces of fabric (being a quilter and having purged a lot of it, I still have some - hehe!). I love them, and what a blessing to have made these for the Christmas exchange at your charity sewing group. What a wonderful talent you have, and these will be cherished. Woohoo, Lisa, for guest designing with your mom - it must have been so fun! Hugs!
