Hello!  I can't believe Valentine's Day is SATURDAY!
Wasn't it just Christmas?

I wanted to show our new Flat Satin sequins as well as I LOVE this Swirly Heart Die and decided there had to be a way to make a Shaker card with it.  Our sequins are Made in the USA ~ YAY!! and are unique as they are flat not cupped, and have a beautiful satin finish.  Perfect for Shaker cards as they add that elegant touch without overpowering the card.

Using our Basic Rectangle Backdrop (red card stock) and Polka Dot Rectangle Backdrop (white cardstock) I decided to embed the outer heart die in the Swirly Heart Die Set to make a frame then inlay the red swirly heart into that.   Stamp sentiment in Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink from Simply Said: Love Story Stamp Set.

Layer over an acetate sheet. Turn over and frame around the edges of the heart (to hold in the sequins) and also the edges of the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape to pop out that top layer and give the sequins room to "shake". Sorry forgot to take a photo of this step! Add your sequins, I used our Black Onyx Satin Sequin Mix which is a mix of 4mm and 6mm Flat Satin Sequins and the Scarlet 6mm Satin Sequins.

Then I cut another white Polka Dot Rectangle Backdrop and put that on top to seal those sequins in.  Added the Red and Black mat layers!

Now I have a card all done for Sammy!
