Valentine Trio by Allie Gower
It’s almost time for Valentine’s Day. It does seem possible, there is love in the air. Maybe that’s just snow.
I started this project by cutting out three pairs of scalloped circles, 3 inches each. I attached them by folding the back scalloped circle as shown, and applying a thin line of iCraft tape.
I cut circles, and you can see I saved a little paper by cutting the doilies out of the middle of the white circles. I cut smaller circles from the patterned paper. These are attached together.
I wrapped a three inch piece of ribbon around each circle, and cut a separate piece of ribbon about two inches long, and tied it to the ribbon with red twine, cinching it with a button.
To finish off these valentines, I stamped sentiments from the {die}luxe Tiny Tags Combo Set onto each doily, and added a pair of tiny hearts dotted with rhinestones. One heart is glued to the background paper and another is floating on the edge of the doily.
Tip: when tying a bow with twine, place a small dab of liquid adhesive to keep it in place during shipping and frequent handling, rather than tying a bulky knot.
