Epic Birthday

This week I decided to take a brave step and enter into the Paper Crafts Magazine 2013 Gallery Idol contest. It's a fierce competition and my chances of making the top 20 are pretty slim, but they're even slimmer if you don't enter, right?

The assignment was to make a birthday card for a child or teen. I thought the bright bold colors would be the perfect palette for a teen card. Speech bubbles, bling, trendy chevrons - all of these are a hit with that age group. Let's not forget the trendy lingo like "Epic."
