Experimenting With INKboss Impression Plates -- Happy Birthday Cards!

Hello, Lisa Hoel here with some INKboss Inkpressions Plate 'experiments'! I wanted to try out some different techniques and I think they worked out pretty well. ;-)

I love the Celebration INKboss plate and I just had to make some bright festive cards using it!

For this card, I inked the plate with Ranger embossing ink and ran it through my Big Shot. I then sprinkled the paper with blue embossing powder and heat set it. I really liked how the color came out so even because of the powder coverage. The shine and texture from the powder makes a nice finish.

For this card I again inked the plate with embossing ink and ran it through my Big Shot with plain white cardstock. I embossed it with clear embossing powder and heat set it. After it was embossed, I blended various colors of Distress Oxide Inks right over the top of it. Any excess ink on the embossed part wipes right off with a paper towel. The white of the paper showing through is a nice effect.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great and creative week. =)
