Happy Wednesday AJVD fans!! Rosemary here on the blog today and I have another love themed card to share. Can't help it... AJVD has some super amazing new love themed products in the store! Click here to check out all the new products!! My card today uses the super sweet Kelly's Hope stamp set (FYI: if you buy this set... and you should... $1.00 from each set will be donated to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer) and the Love {DIE}alogue word die. I absolutely LOVE (ha ha!) how this card turned out!!
The Kelly's Hope stamp set is a beautiful set designed by Kelly Klapstein. The set has three little heart shaped balloon images and the strings for each balloon spell out a different word. One spells out "love" and that is the balloon I used. I die cut a panel of cream cardstock using one of the smaller dies in the Polka Dot Rectangle Backdrop set and stamped it with the balloon. The balloon portion of the image was stamped again on patterned paper, trimmed out and adhered with foam dimensionals. A panel of dark red cardstock was die cut using another Polka Dot Rectangle and I was going to just leave it at that, but then I got a crazy idea! I pulled out the love die, cut it multiple times from the same dark red cardstock and then adhered all of them to the panel at an angle. The parts hanging off the edge were trimmed off and the cream panel was adhered to that. To finish things off I die cut a panel of patterned paper using the largest Polka Dot Rectangle, adhered that to my card base and then attached the remaining piece.
