congratulations on your new home!

Hey AJVD fans!!!  Rosemary here today with a card I made using the AJVD set Home Sweet Home.  Before I was a paper crafter I was an avid cross-stitcher and so when I saw the Home Sweet Home set and the companion Hoop It Up die set I just had to have them.  I just love the little cross-stitch elements in the Home Sweet Home set.  I used the stamp set to create a quick congratulations card for someone settling in to a new home.  I used the layout from Sweet Sunday Sketch for my card so I will be posting it there, as well.

I used some coordinating patterned papers that would work well for giving the card to a couple or a single man or woman who purchased the new home.  I cut rectangles from white cardstock and then larger rectangles from the dark purple and dark yellow papers.  The middle heart was stamped in the coordinating yellow using the second generation method (I inked up the heart, stamped it on some scrap paper and then on the cardstock) to get a softer look.  The purple hearts were stamped at full strength.  I die cut the larger panel with the largest die in the Polka Dot Backdrop die set.
