I am so sad, lately we have lost so many friends. I am still in a fog from losing my dad. It seems like forever since I spoke to him, hugged him or told him I love him, in person.
I made this card for one of my favorite teachers of all time! She was the most fun and I feel she taught us all so much, not just about typing or shorthand or office machines (like those awesome HUGE electric typewriters we had) but about life and how to treat others kindly. She was always that ONE teacher you could go to with your problems, like the time she had to cut gum out of my hair after my cousin threw it in there! UGH! Boys!
She lost her husband last week and the whole community is weeping with her. She/They touched so many lives with their smiles, kind words and good deeds. They were huge Ohio State Buckeye Fans as well. They set amazing examples for all of us as to how to love, live and give freely of themselves.
She is a very classy lady and always looked fashionably sharp so I decided I needed an elegant card show our sympathy to her.
So this card is elegant but simple and could be mass produced easily.
Stamp the Polka Dot Backdrop using the NEW Ranger Dye Ink in Black Tie with the Vintage Floral Background Builder Stamp. Cut two oval Ribbon Labels out of complimentary colors. I wanted to add a pop of red so cutting the red one in half and offsetting it against the white to give it that pop of color. Stamp the white label with the sentiment from Simply Said: Sympathy ~ which I love! It is a 3 x 4 stamp set with larger sentiments in trendy fonts. I threaded the ribbon, tied the bow then cut the oval Jewelry Tag from the Tiny Tags Stamp and Die Set then using the Black Tie Ink, stamped Praying for You from Simply Sympathy onto that small tag and pinned it on with a Black Pear Pin.

gorgeous sympathy card, bunny! I know your friend with treasure it!
I am sorry that you are experiencing another loss so soon after your dear Father passed. Loosing someone we love is difficult and offering support to a friend, when our own wound is so close to the surface, can make the loss feel as though it was yesterday. My condolences to you and your friend.
Gorgeous Bunny!
