with enough coffee...

Hello everyone!  Are you enjoying the Coffee Lover's fall/winter blog hop?   As is always there are tons of prizes to be won so make sure you get your projects made before the hop ends.  Rosemary here with a card I made using the fun A Jillian Vance Design Hug in a Mug stamp set, as well as several different dies.   I wasn't ready to leave fall behind just yet so I used some pretty fall themed papers from Bella Carta.

Won't deny it, but I had a hard time coming up with an idea for a card to make.  When that happens I often look to sketches to help me out.  This card was created using the sketch from Mojo Monday so I will be linking it up there, as well.   I will also tell you that I went through several different colors of coffee mug before settling on the light teal.  I also had to fiddle around with the patterns before hitting on the right combo.   In the sketch there is a scalloped border down one side of the long strip.  I got creative and used the Vintage Frame backdrop die for the decorative edge.  I really like how it turned out!   The mug was looking a little plain even with the little leaves trim at the top of the mug so I die cut the little string of hearts using the die from the Cozy Cup die set (this set is close to selling out so if you want it grab it now!) to adhered to the mug.  The coffee 'steam' is also from the Cozy Cup set.  I trimmed it down to fit behind the mug better.  The two little hearts that are die cut along with the steam were used to decorate the sentiment from the Hug in a Mug set.  The mug and the sentiment were stamped in VersaFine CLAIR Acorn ink.   I had a bit of a struggle to get this card made, but overall I really like how it turned out!
