Tech Week Day 2 - Pumpkins and Poinsettias!

Hello, hello!  Are you enjoying Tech week so far?  Rosemary here today and I know that I am!  There are so many fabulous new stamps and dies being released that will take you through the fall and in to Christmas!    Just check out all the goodies in the graphic below.   And since this is a new release there are prizes to be won!  Just enter below through the Rafflecopter widget to win the Autumn Pumpkin and Elegant Christmas stamp sets!   I have one more thing to share... if you place a pre-order for any thing from the new release through August 18th all your items will ship for FREE!  YAY!!  All orders will begin shipping on Monday August 19th.  There is also a VIP package that consists of all the items in the release that can be ordered at a 20% discount and free shipping!  Let the ordering begin, lol!

I have two cards to share today that use the Autumn Pumpkin and Elegant Christmas stamp sets.  Just a little note if you already had the Poinsettia Greetings stamp and die set you can use the die with this new set as well!  YAY!  Both of these sets are large 6 x 8 stamp sets and are full of gorgeous images and sentiments.  First up is my card using the Autumn Pumpkin stamp set.  I used the trio of pumpkins image and did some no line watercoloring using distress inks.  This was my first time trying no line watercoloring and I have to say that I am pretty darn pleased with how it turned out!  Once the image was dry I die cut it with my tried and true Stitched Dot rectangle die and then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine CLAIR Acorn ink.  Because I didn't want to cover up my coloring I actually split the image by masking off portions of it and stamping it in the opposite corners.

I also did some watercoloring on my second card, but this time I embossed the poinsettia image in white and then colored the image with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  I also tried something a little different by coloring the leaves gray instead of green.   Once I finished coloring the flowers I added a light wash of blue all around the flowers.   I finished off the card by embossing the sentiment in white on a vellum strip that I wrapped around the card front after I die cut it with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects.  Don't forget to come back tomorrow to check out what Ardyth has in store for you!
