Hey A Jillian Vance Design fans!!! Rosemary here with my usual Wednesday post. As many of you know the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is in full swing. A Jillian Vance Design is a super sponsor and not only do they have lots of new coffee related stamp sets in the store (you can find them here) they have awesome prizes up for grabs so make sure you play along!!! I used one of those fun new stamp sets for my card today.
I'm not a coffee drinker by any stretch of the imagination. I love my chai lattes from a certain national coffee chain. Occasionally I will have a peppermint mocha, but that is about it. However, when I saw all the fun new coffee theme stamp sets that AJVD came out with I just had to pick up a few of them. My card today uses the But First Coffee stamp set. I love to collage stamp and this set has some fun images that work well for this technique. I stamped the coffee ring in kraft colored ink and then did second generation stamping with to create a very faint coffee ring. The same was done in the opposite corner. The coffee bean image was stamped in the same way using dark brown ink and then I finished up by stamping the sentiment using espresso brown ink. I die cut the panel with an AJVD Stitched Dot rectangle, adhered it to my card base and then added the some cappuccino baker's twine tied in a bow. Going to add this to the current SSS Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
