Hey friends!! Happy Summer and happy Wednesday!! Rosemary here on the blog today. As many of you know the summer edition of the wildly popular Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is in full swing. A Jillian Vance Design is a super sponsor, again for this hop and if you play along you have a chance to win the Cup of Love and Perk Up stamp sets!! There a few days left so make sure you link up your project. Today I used the new Cup of Love stamp set and Perk Up and did some watercoloring.
I stamped the image using VersaFine Vintage Sepia and to get a good impression I used my mini MISTI so I could reink the image and then stamp it again. Once that was done I had to make a decision regarding what colors to use. Since green is the main color in one of the most iconic coffee companies in the world is green I decided to go with that. I used Gansai Tambi watercolors and took my time to get the look I wanted. Once I had the cup colored I added the background by using a soft blue. I'm quite pleased with how my watercoloring turned out! I also used my mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment from the Perk Up stamp set I die cut the piece using a die from the Polka Dot Rectangle backdrop die set and then mounted it on some light grey cardstock that was die cut with a die from the Rectangle backdrop set.
