let the sparks fly!

Happy 4th of July to everyone here in the USA!!  Rosemary here today and I have a patriotic card to share that I made with two different A Jillian Vance Design sets:  Simply Said:  Old Glory and Cross-Stitch Freedom.

When I was deciding what I was going to make for this post I knew that I wanted to incorporate the Simply Said: Old Glory stamp set because I just think the flag image in the set is so cool.  You can now get a smaller version of the flag image in a new AJVD set called God Bless the USA.  I have an ink that is very light and so I used that to stamp the flag image twice on off white cardstock and then I die cut the piece with the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die.  The fireworks image from Cross-Stitch Freedom was stamped in blue, red and then a combo of the red and blue.  I die cut each image with one of the smallest circles from the Polka Dot Backdrop circle die.  The circles were layered as you see and then I embossed the sentiment from Cross-Stitch Freedom in white on vellum.  It was trimmed out and then adhered as you see.   Finished by adhering the panel to a light gray cardstock base.   Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of red, white and blue.
