Folk Art Celebrate

Good morning! Ardyth here with a Folk Art card that was inspired by Laura Bassen. Laura used stamps to create her pretty card and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I knew that by combining a number of AJVD die sets, I could easily achieve a similar look!

Like Laura, I started with a 6-petal flower in the center - this helps line up the rest of the elements. I used Buttercup Blossom and a Circle Backdrop die to create a centre. I blended Tiki Torch and Tiara ink onto these die cuts.

Next, I cut 6 tulips from the Watering Can set. I blended It's a Boy and Juniper Mist onto these.

Then, I cut 6 butterflies from I Spy Magnifying Glass set. I inked these with It's a Girl and Tutti Frutti.

I wanted a green element but I knew my card front was getting crowded. I found the perfect thing in Holly & Swirls - the berries. It was easy to cut 6 of these, since 3 berries are attached to each other! I blended Melon Ice and lime Rickey onto these.

I adhered the flower flat to my panel and then popped up the centre and the tulips using foam squares. The butterflies and dots are also flat to the panel.

Finally, I cut 2 Grande Greetings Celebrate die cuts and glued them together and then onto my card front. I finished with dots of Stickles around the tulips for a little sparkle!

Here's a quick video:
