Green Leaf

AJVD, Kecia Waters, leaf, encouragement
A couple of months ago, Jillian asked us what was our favorite AJVD die set.  Without hesitation I said mine was the Grand Leaf Trio die set.  It appears on a lot of our cards in the fall, but I began thinking that it can be used to create spring and summer cards too.  Kecia Waters on the blog today.

To make my card, I used the Grand Leaf Trio die set to cut this leaf from textured green cardstock.  I sponged Distress Ink Peeled Paint onto the leaf.  With a green watercolor pencil I added some more intense green and then spritzed with water.  Once dry, I adhered to some white cardstock.  I placed the white cardstock onto a panel of patterned paper.  I stamped the sentiment from AJVD's BE-LEAF in Yourself with Versafine Onyx Black.  I added one lone green sequin to put the finishing touch on this card.
