Easter Blessings

Well... happy Wednesday everyone!!  Easter is just a few days away and so I have another Easter card to share with you.  This one was made with the beautiful new Bloom stamp set.  When Bunny gave everyone on the team a little preview of upcoming new product and I spied the Bloom set I knew I had to have it!!  As soon as it landed in my hands I got to work making my card.

In case you hadn't noticed this stamp is just full of beautiful flowers and all kinds of surprises.  I started by stamping the image on kraft cardstock with white pigment ink.  I then applied white embossing powder and heat set.  Then I got to work coloring with Prisma pencils.  As I colored away I discovered all kinds of little surprises with in the stamp set.  A ladybug, a pot with a little plant, hearts, swirls, all kind of things!  My coloring is very simple, but I love the way it looks once finished.  I simply die cut the panel with the largest Rectangle Backdrop die.  Then I had to figure how to do the sentiment.  I settled on the small Easter Blessings sentiment from the Simply Said: He is Risen set.   I can't remember which I did first... the die cutting or the stamping, but I did use the small tag from the Minnie Pearl Bookmark set to die cut it.  I then tied a bit of twine in a bow and attached the two using Multi Medium (matte).    Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

I just keep staring at this card, Rosemary! Stunningly beautiful way to use that incredible stamp! The sentiment treatment is perfect! You've made me think that coloring a stamp with small areas might be what I need to try as simple coloring is all that's needed!
