Flower Burst Birthday



Good morning! Ardyth here with a beautiful warm (we can use some warmth in February, right?!) birthday card using the new Flower Burst cover plate.

I started by cutting a white panel with the cover plate. Next, I blended distress inks on another panel. My original thought was to just lay the blended panel behind the white die cut, but I do love the look of inlaid dies, so I cut that panel too.

I put some Be Creative tape behind the white die cut panel and started laying the blended petals into it. As I did that, it occurred to me that it would be fun to have some randomly placed silver petals for interest and shine. I took a scrap of silver cardstock and didn't worry about cutting the whole flower. Just enough to get a few petals to put on my card.

I finished the flower with a glittery yellow enamel dot.

I stamped my sentiment on a label from the Stitched Sentiment Trio Die set and popped it up with foam tape.
