joy...

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I finally made a card using the new Poinsettia Greetings stamp set!!  YAY!!!

I stamped the poinsettia image in watermark ink, applied white embossing powder and then heat set.  I then colored the flowers and leaves with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Once the image was dry I trimmed it out since I didn't have the matching dies when I made my card (I do now!!!).  The sentiment joy was stamped with watermark ink and then heat embossed in gold on vellum.  I trimmed it out as well.  I inked the AJVD Dainty Dots Background Builder with Delicata Golden Glitz ink and then laid my white cardstock on top and gently rubbed it to transfer the ink.  Once that was done I die cut it with a Stitched Dot Rectangle die.  Some patterned paper from a My Mind's Eye Christmas pad was trimmed down and adhered to a light green cardstock base.  I adhered the panel and then added the poinsettia image and the sentiment.  I'm going to add this to the current Card Concept challenge in the clean and layered category.  I took my inspiration from the poinsettias and the colors.
