Happy Birthday America!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!   I have another patriotic card to share today that uses the Cross Stitch Freedom stamp set.  I just love that cool stitched star that is in the stamp set and had to use it for my card.
The star actually comes in two pieces and since I wanted to do some watercolor resist on my card I had to be very careful as I placed the star on my watercolor paper.  I decided the best way to do that was to stamp the top part with watermark ink apply the white embossing powder and then stamp the second half with watermark ink and apply the embossing powder.  Once that was done I heat set it and colored the top part with a blue ZIG and the bottom part with a red ZIG.  I let the panel dry overnight and then stamped the sentiment in black ink.  The panel was then die cut with a Stitched Dot Rectangle and then added some blue and red sequins.  Super simple, but I love how it turned out.  Wishing everyone here in the US a very happy and fun 4th of July!
