Sweet Celebration

Hello friends!!  Rosemary here with a colorful little birthday card that I created using the Celebrate Cake set, as well as the Ribbon Labels {Die}signs dies.  Like most people I'm often in need of birthday cards.  The Celebrate Cake set is so perfect for making fun and quick birthday cards.  The Ribbon Labels {Die}signs dies are also perfect for helping you create great cards quickly!

My sweet friend and fellow AJVD teamie, Lisa, is so thoughtful.  Whenever we get together she always has some kind of little crafty gift for me.  The last time we got together she gave me something all tied up with some multi-colored twine.  I took my cue from the twine for my card.  I inked up the image using four different colors pulled from the twine and stamped it on the large ribbon label (another gift from Lisa!).  (I found that using the Memento Dew Drops and small cube ink pads made inking up the sentiment easier to do.)    In keeping with the fun, bright color scheme I used a cute piece of cupcake patterned paper from the Basic Grey Shine On pad.   The twine was threaded through the tag and then wrapped around the cupcake paper and tied in a bow.  I found that taping down the twine on the back of the cardstock panel made it easier to tie the tag.  To keep the tag in place I added a couple of foam dimensionals behind the tag.
