Rejoice Tulips CAS Card

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Becky Schultea, tulips, Copic markers

Rejoice, as I do believe it is finally spring!  Kecia Waters on the blog today bringing you this CAS card that features the stamp set "Spring In Bloom" by Becky Schultea.

When I began the process of making this card, I had originally thought of making a multicolored tulip bouquet.  However, once I had colored the first tulip red, I decided to go with a more striking color combination of red, black and white.  I'm thinking I'm not going to put the "Spring In Bloom" set away anytime soon, so you may just see my original idea in the coming weeks.  Can't have enough flowers, can you?

To make this card, I stamped the tulip image three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the tulips with Copic markers and fussy cut.  I added some clear Wink-of-Stella to the petals to give the petals some shimmer and shine.

I arranged the tulips together onto two panels of white cardstock that I framed in black.  I stamped the sentiment from "Hello Spring", another set designed by Becky Schultea for AJVD with Versafine Onyx Black.

A black and white striped bow puts the finishing touch on this CAS card.
