You & Me

Hey friends!!  Rosemary here with a my first project as a permanent AJVD design team member!   I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of the AJVD team.  Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card that I made using Simply Said:  You & Me.
I recently learned a simple and fun masking technique that you can use to create backgrounds on your cards.   I modified it a bit and used it to create partial backgrounds.  I cut a large and medium heart using masking tape (I used a product call Eclipse Tape from Judikins).  I placed my masks on my cardstock where I wanted it and then used some wide washi tape (you can also use Post It Note tape) and Worn Lipstick distress ink to create the stripes.  When I was done I stamped the sentiment on the larger heart using black ink.  A few black enamel dots were added, as well.

I finished the inside by using the same technique to create the heart in the corner and then added the companion sentiment.   Everything was then adhered to a grey cardstock base.

Simply Said:  You & Me
Other Supplies:
White and Grey Cardstock
Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots
Heart shaped stencil
