Baby Card & Background

Hi, Lisa Lara here today with a little
Baby Card & Background Tutorial
using the new release EGGcellent  3 x 4 that I illustrated.
I stamped, colored, cut out and popped up my little chick on my background then
stamped the sweet little sentiment using the new release EGGcellent. Then finished it off with Pure Gold Satin Sequins Mix
To make my background, I started with my 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 white card base
(scored in the center but not folded).
I placed a strip of removable tape on the back side of my acetate sheet that is acting as my mask.  Then I sponged the sky using a blending tool.  I used the acetate because it doesn't soak up the ink but distributes it to my paper well and quickly.

Next, I flipped my piece of acetate around
and sponged the grass side.
My grid mat helped me keep a straight line.
I was inspired by Laura Bassen's sweet card.

I also made this card for this week's
Less Is More Challenge LITTLE ONES
So I made a baby card using a baby chick image.

So sweet Lisa. TFS your tutorial too. I have never used acetate as a mask.

So sweet and thanks SO much for the tutorial. I would have never thought to use acetate but it makes so much sense!
