Family Tree of Nuts Card

I thought it might be fun to start our Monday off with a humorous card made with the AJVD stamp set "Oh Nuts!" by Whimsie Doodles.

Kecia Waters here on the blog today.  Allow you to share how I made this card...

I stamped the tree image, along with a few cloud impressions, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the tree image with Copic markers, simply dotting in the leaves and letting the ink run.

I then masked the tree and clouds, and sponged Distress Ink Tumbled Glass for the sky and Distress Ink Peeled Paint for the grass.

I framed the fall scene with a foto frame of white cardstock cut from AJVD's {die}velope Foto Frames and {die}alogue Bubbles Die set.  I then stamped the funny sentiment from "Oh Nuts!" by Whimsie Doodles right on the Foto Frame with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  On a scrap sheet of X-Press It cardstock, I stamped the squirrel from "Oh Nuts!" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  I cut around the squirrel with detailed scissors and pop-dotted him onto the corner of the Foto Frame.

Patterned paper from Recollections was paper pierced and faux-stitched with a colored pencil.  I sponged along the edges with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy.  I placed the card panel, along with all of the elements of this card (and a button tied with hemp cord), onto a kraft card base.
