Quick and Easy Valentines

Hi everyone! This is Annette from A. Spoon Full of Sugar with super easy Valentine's Day project. My four-year-old little girl wanted me to make her valentine's for her preschool party. I wanted her to be a part of it (other than signing her name) so I came up with these cute little valentines that are easy to assemble - so easy that a four-year-old can do it!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the shapes. The 12x12 cutting mat enables me to cut multiple copies of the same shape. Next, I stamped the hearts with sentiments from the set A {Little} Love and heat embossed them. I think the white is easiest to read against the red heart. I never seem to get an opaque enough image when I use white ink, which is why I opted for the embossing powder. I also dry embossed the green circles to add some texture.

Then, I asked my daughter to write her name on the back before we assembled them. Then, we both took our glue sticks and adhered the green circles. We used foam dots on the hearts and stuck them onto the circle. Easy peasy. They're not perfectly centered, but for a four-year-old, I think she did a pretty darn good job. I'm proud of her!!
